Previously, I wrote about social justice, religion, federal policy, and labor at The Chronicle of Philanthropy. I've written for The Chronicle of Higher Education, Washington Post Express, Sauce Magazine, Narratively, and Town & Style St. Louis Magazine, where I worked as managing editor.
I won the 2015 David W. Miller Award for Young Journalists. I was named a 2018 fellow by the National Press Foundation.
I studied history and English at The College of William & Mary.
